prefabrication technology aims to change this

Our Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services include several plug-and-play technologies

MACS MODULAR

Modules are the manufactured result of many planning sessions, engineering reviews, BIM coordination meetings, and installation analysis exercises. In simple terms, a “module” is the manufactured result that will be installed into a project or building, all build to specification and code. The modules are engineered from fully coordinated drawings by our team of engineers and produced under factory-controlled conditions using the latest systems and materials. The modules are then delivered to the construction site to be mounted in the ceiling or in-service risers. With prefab MEP, most of the MEP construction work is done offsite in a controlled manufacturing environment before components are transported onsite for installation. With prefabrication, manpower and time needed to build, assemble and install MEP modules can be reduced by up to 70%. Worksites are safer, and there is less impact on the surrounding environment.

Key Aims

Increases productivity significantly

Construction is faster as the production of prefabricated MEP modules/systems in the factory is done concurrently with other activities on site. Installation of prefabricated MEP modules/ systems on-site is easier and quicker, and leads to significant manpower and time savings of up to 60%, depending on the complexity of a project

Reduces impact to the environment

Dust and noise pollution, as well as other dis-amenities to the surroundings, are minimized as more activities are done off-site. Less construction waste is generated as there is less rectification work

Enhances quality control

Higher quality control is achieved as most work is done in a controlled factory environment. The sequence of work can be planned more efficiently with better logistics co-ordination

Improves workplace safety

Construction sites are safer and more conducive as most work is done off-site, and less time is spent working at height

Less workers at site

Pre Fabrication reduces workers at the site as most activities are carried out at the factory rather than on-site. Also since works are carried out in a fully monitored factory setup, less wastage of time is noticed than conventional installation.

LESS SNAGGING

Less Snagging, as installation undergoes continuous quality supervision.

NO STORAGE RESTRICTION

Materials will be stored in covered area inside factory saving on site storage areas.

EASY MAINTAINANCE

Modules are engineered and installed in view of providing easy access to maintenance.

ONE POINT CONTACT

Instead of coordinating with individual service installers in the conventional method, prefab provides on-point contact for all MEP systems.
Conventionally MEP components can only be assembled at the very late stage of construction

Different services have to be installed by different contractors who work in silos onsite

The last to the finish line, MEP works are typically carried out on extremely tight schedules and workmanship may sometimes be compromised due to the compressed timelines.
